What about Liquori, Danielson, and Verzibas? Anybody know their times in 9th / 10th / 11th?
Verzbicas is like my role model, so I'll chime in. As a freshmen he ran a 4:11 mile(freshmen indoor record) and 14:18(then HS indoor national record)5k indoors, and an 8:53 2 mile outdoors(freshmen 2 mile record). Sidenote, he never competed for his highschool in outdoor track because he had to do triathlon stuff, but he'd compete in a couple pro meets or as an individual in huge meets.
His sophomore year, he won footlocker and went undefeated in cross. He got injuried in the winter and couldn't compete indoors. Then in the spring he got to run in the first annual Jim Ryun Highschool Dream Mile(now just called Adidas Golden Stripes), and won in a time of 4:04.
That summer he took summer classes so his 3rd year he'd come in as a senior instead of a junior. In cross he won both NXN and Footlocer. Indoors, he ran a 4:03 mile in a pro race and an 8:43 2 mile in a pro race getting lapped by Lagat in the final straight just 3 seconds shy of the HS indoor record. Then at Indoor Nationals he won the 5k in a then highschool national indoor record 14:06, and came back the next day to win the 2 mile in 8:40.x(less than a second from the highschool indoor record), and then an hour later won the mile in 4:11.
That spring, he got in more consistent training and did a St Patricks day 8k in 23:55 that he did every year in highschool. Then a couple weeks later he ran the Elite Men's Mile at the B.A.A. road race the day before the Boston Marathon barely getting outkicked and passed in the final stride by a sub 350 miler. Then he trained and laid low for awhile until the Pre Classic where he ran a highschool outdoor national record 8:29 2 mile, and the following weekend he won the Dream Mile in 3:59.71 on a wet track over a star studded field.
