I heard he just dipped under 23 minutes - like 22:57[/quote]
Uh... I was PHYSICALLY PRESENT there and I did not see Lutz finish first. Have I gone blind?

Here is where the results will be posted by the timing company
http://www.onlineraceresults.com/event/view_event.php?event_id=9511They've botched up hs meets before...not really sure why the UW went with them for this big meet (they've done it before but...) hopefully they get it figured out before regionals
No results posted yet -- what kind of joke outfit is this?
Perhaps similar to this joke outfit:
Looks like the BRosas are back:
1 17 Jim Rosa SO 23:44
2 19 Joe Rosa SO 23:44
3 21 Miles Unterreiner SR 23:46
4 33 Tyler Stutzman JR 23:54
5 45 Benjamin Johnson SR 24:00
6 ( 85) Thomas Graham FR 24:14
7 (171) Erik Olson SO 24:35
Miles Unterreiner? More like Not Enough Miles Undertrainer haha yolo
These results may well dictate which teams go to Nationals at the end of the season. There are MANY MANY MANY places in the results where 4, 5, 6, people have the same time to the second. With the clear equipment failure issues, all these athletes should be given the same place.
If I was a coach I would be screaming for the photo finish images to be made public. Until they are released, these results are A TOTAL JOKE. And that isn't funny at a meet this important.
Anyone agree? Or is it okay these days to f*ck things up this badly?
Even though the results only show to the full second, the timer still records to the thousandths (or more). The paces are correct, assuming the fixed the main timing issue.
Too important to let it pass wrote:

5 107 Patrick McGregor JR 24:18

Does anyone else notice that Lalang had a last 3k of 8:09??? Is that right? He almost broke 23 after going out in 14:50+?
Course is short by somewhere between 75 and 100 meters, so his last "3K" was actually around 8:25 pace (assuming it's closer to 75). Still impressive.
There was a problem before the meet started with the power at the location. They have this super old small trailer that runs on a generator where all the timing and stuff is in, I guess the generator went offline. It's a world class course with poor power setup and no permanent building onsite. I'm surprised they have not built a good permanent building at the location with proper power. Just doesn't make any sense with how awesome the course is.
