Webb beat such luminaries as AJ Acosta, Christian Hesch, and Matt Tebo. Looking good for 2013!

Look at the no-names who beat him.

Webb is right where he should be, a slowly declining has been.

Aren't you a hateful little thing?
Perhaps, but....

Perhaps, but at least he can rest easy knowing that he has already accomplished a hundred times what YOU ever will in your miserable, hateful existence.

are you really that angry and upset about how your career has amounted to nothing, so as to lash out like that? shame on you.

"lash out"? Another poster used the term "hateful"?

lel has simply stated the truth. Since when is stating the truth lashing out or hateful?

The tone has disdain; the truth is obtained within the result. The expectations on Webb are huge. Some fans feel disappointed by his current form

He did this off of really light training...he's been busy changing diapers.

Being honest is not the same as being an arsehole. That's the thing a lot of people refuse to grow up and understand. Yes, it is perfectly accurate to comment that Webb's times are in a decline and to predict that he'll never set another PR.

It is another thing altogether to communicate this is a spiteful and cruel way.

So here's a newsflash the rest of the adults in the room learned a long time ago: being honest is never an excuse for being a jerk. You can do the former without the latter, if you've a mind to.

I honestly don't think we'll see Alan Webb back again on the professional circuit. He will be 30 next season and that will probably be a wrap.

considering he finished his track season 2 and a half months ago I would imagine this is very early in his base training so not a bad result at all.

Webb finished his track season 2 years ago, not 2 months.
