Out of the blue I've developed an achy sore spot on the right iliac crest. Pain seems to be right where the tendons/muscles in that are attach to the bone. I've had ITB problems on the same leg before, and I know that side is always tighter and less flexible than the left, but I'm not sure where/what exactly I should be targeting when stretching and doing self-massage. Pain is worse after running, sitting, and when twisting to the side. Responds well to ibuprofen. I want to start a strengthening regimen and get some ART or chiro work done, but am wondering if continuing to run is a bad idea? Any advice or suggestions for dealing with this area?
