I'm not from Michigan and can't comment on courses or how well meets are run or anything of that sort, but... the MSU Spartan Invite tomorrow is really high caliber. The highlight invitational of the year, it seems. |

You can find a list of meets on Athletic.net http://www.athletic.net/CrossCountry/Meet/List.aspx?S=2012&R=35&L=0 Also you could go on the Mlive and Michigan Cross Country & Track & Field message boards and ask your question. http://michigancrosscountry.com/michigan_track_cross_country_forum/index.php http://www.mlive.com/forums/hstrackxc/index.ssf |

My team runs MSU every year. It is a great Meet. Good Organization Great Competition SHORT COURSE--We do not allow times run on this course to count toward school records. I have wheeled the course every year and it is just feet over 3miles. 30 seconds short. |

The glory days of Michigan XC (99-05) are over. Now the state is average for guys and awesome for ladies |

Portage Invite - Oct 6. Largest high school invite in the midkwest. Portage borders Kalamazoo on the south. Also have an open race. Over half the ranked top 10 teams in the state show up. |

Holly Nike Invitational is a great one, although it already happened earlier today. Besides that, I'd recommend the Jackson Invitational or the Waterford Mott Fall Classic. Neither is a huge meet, but the competition is good and courses are challenging. Both good preparation for regionals and states. |
