So why did he get a gold screen instead of a black screen?
So why did he get a gold screen instead of a black screen?
seriously he has been stuck on approx 13.15 secs for 3,4 years
bang this year approx .3 improvement .
if that does not spell doping to ya ,then dont know what does
regardless if nailed a perfect race ,etc .
just like two previous record holders that aided by sarms at very least ,have to say same here .
in no other event is sarms more beneficial at evening things out by increasing proportional leg cadence and especially between hurdles.
somebody eventually will tattle tale on what is happening in sprints but as stands so much to be gained individually and nationally in mean time so no reason to speak out .
The hurdles, like the triple jump, or pole vault, is a technical event.
I'm not sure how much drugs will help, they will, but nothing like what they do in the 100m.
In fact I think drugs might actually hurt 110 hurdles performances, too powerful over the hurdles and your steps get messed up.
Look at Merritt, he's a small guy, I'm bigger than he is, and I can probably outlift him too and I'm a former 400/800 guy.
Merritt is downright tiny. He's maybe 165-170. Tiny for the short sprints.
Scientifically speaking, 13.20 is about the limit of what the human body can do without drugs. So everyone who's broken 13.20, you can assume they're on drugs.
Same with anyone who's run faster than 27:10.

slow
i started shouting wr at tv at the instant he cleared 2nd hurdle
But really only running incrementally faster than Renaldo Nehemiah did over 30 yrs ago.
He was a 13.09 hurdler years ago before a series of injuries (tearing a hamstring is not real good for a hurdler who has to stretch a lot more than a sprinter does. So five years from 13.09 to 12.9s is a mere 0.04 per year until his masterpiece. The start accounts for maybe as much as 0.10 (ie., with that start he would have been in the elite sub-13 club in 2007.

Probably about right.

True. China has never, ever had any athletes using PEDs.

Where did you get your science from?
Everyone knows it's really 15.30. Any faster is too fast.

Where did the World Record go then? I thought Merritt had it now, why did it leave?
Typical semi-autistic, trying-to-be-funny runner response. This is why you get no girls.

It is not about power or muscles, but endurance. I think drugs would help a lot.

I agree. I d say 27:30 might be the limit for the 10K.

You're a complete moron, and nothing about your post has anything to do with science.

What are you talking about? Don't buy into that drug laden bullshit. No clean man can break 31 minutes. Don't be fooled.

That's funny coming from a letsrun bottom feeder. I'm sorry you have to date girls with personality rather than good looks.

It's so funny when letsruners talk about events other than distance running! It's like listening to high school kids talking about geopolitics. Almost as funny as the anti Israel guy!
An absolutely spectacular performance by Merritt. Fans of my cohort will see this result and think back to the magnificent 12.93 WR set by Renaldo Nehamiah in 1981 and appreciate how well that mark has survived the years. Before Merritt's WR, Nehamiah's mark had only been lowered .06 in more than thirty years. Bravo, Merritt !
WTF happened to the "What drug is he on" thread?
A post got eaten.
We'll see if this one goes the same way.
Synopsis: He is ahead of second by .07 Nine (9) guys are sandwiched into the next .07 Ridiculous.
His average finishing position this year is something like 1.2, because he won literally all his races except one. Last year it was 2.5 Ridiculous.
He went under 13 8 times this year, zero times before in his career. Ridiculous.
He had the 8 of the top 10 performances this year, and all top 7. Ridiculous.
His best last year was equal to something like his 10th best this year. Ridiculous.
I don't remember everything from that deleted post specifically, but you get the picture.
Also, juicing can absolutely enable 7 steps rather than 8 to the first hurdle.
Put it all together, and there is no way that he is clean IMO.
12.80 by Merritt is quite egregious, actually.
What can you tell us about transitioning from an eight to seven step approach?
