As the article says, 'increased size of digits'. So, where are the pics of athletes with enlarged digits to go with their braces? The whole thing's a misunderstanding. Cranial side effects result from GH excess in disease. Side effects from medically administered HGH as in the article are:'joint swelling, joint pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, and an increased risk of diabetes'.As for use in sports:'Some recent studies have not been able to support claims that human growth hormone can improve the athletic performance of professional male athletes'.That doesn't mean people don't try it, but if they do, their heads remain the same size as before. And so apparently do their performances.
