Why are the top powerlifters, as opposed to bodybuilders, so obese? They are considered athletes, yet being athletic is usually associated with being healthy. |

Eating as much as you can maximizes your muscle gains. Since there's no points for appearance, no weight classes, and no issues with being fat, powerlifters never cut. |

Bodybuilders aren't nearly as strong as powerlifers, there no no benefits to losing weight in strength building. |

That's not fat: it's muscle. |

It's hard to burn fat without burning muscle, and being skinny doesn't benefit them. Hence the weight. |

There are weight classes. The lighter guys aren't fat. You just see pics of the heavy weights because they usually lift the most. |

Don't worry about them, focus internally. |

Dude, you get that fat giggling around at just the right frequency and you can easily lift 12% more weight. |

More than a grain of truth in that troll post. The physics based equation of a lifters weight to the weight he is attempting gets quite complex the higher the attempt gets. Moving great weights requires great weight. Laws of physics yada yada. |

To keep your muscles at 100% strength at all times requires a little fat. |
