I wonder what shell talk about. A non medallist makes the show. How many golds did we win?

She just pawned Dawn Harper and the other one, and defended her own popularity, given it's a limited window. Basically, they should be happy that she (Lolo) is bringing attention to the sport. They medalled, so they should be happy with it and move on. Not retiring through Rio. Eats a lot of cheeseburgers, free at the athlete's village.
Im kind of tired of her, but shes right. Anyone that could get paid would. If she is what the media wants to promote, dont blame lolo. Shes the kornikova of track.

She is not the Kornikova of track. She has the AR in the 60 indoor hurdles. She has two world indoor titles. She has competed at the top level in Europe and won meets. She missed a medal by a fraction of a second at the Olympics. She is healthy again and may have a shot at WC if she can continue her improvement since returning from injury. She modeled for ESPN with a bunch of other athletes and did the cover of Outside magazine.
Kornikova flamed out with injuries after a few years in pro tennis. She only made two quarterfinals at majors. She did all kinds of photo shoots in men's magazines and courted the papporazzi with her relationship with Federov and other pro hockey players. Her highest ranking in the world was 20 in a ranking system that gives too much credit for playing lots of tournaments.
There is just no comparison in terms of athletic accomplishments and off the court publicity.
She is never one to clam up. Should be a pearl of a interview.

Not hard to figure out why Lolo can't get a real boyfriend.
So when the US hurdles silver and bronze are racing in Stockholm, where will Lolo be? Whining to the media as if she actually matters.

So, now you're complaining that a track athlete is getting mainstream publicity? After the Olympics no less! Isn't that what everyone here wants?
Medal or no medal, she's still HOT.
Here's the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRpjCcZEBjk&feature=youtu.be
Lolo's on track to becoming the most overhyped fourth placer since Pre.

She is not the best in her event but she gets a lot of publicity based upon her looks. That is why people compare her to Anna.
She fills the role some women athletes hate. Some would like endorsements to be based more upon ability on the court/field/track and cuteness be less of a factor.
There were three women ahead of her in her event. There were other gold medalists who are not being interviewed today. They aren't as cute. She is a very good but not the best, but she gets more publicity than people better than her.
IMO, she has a cute face but that is about it.
McKayla Maroney ??????????????

Oh, she matters alright. She really matters.
somewhat true but her dramatic failure at 2008 and potential comeback in 2012 would make a good story regardless of looks.
A lot of people forget she was THE favorite in 2008, hardly a flash in the pan.
Sure society like good looking people. But it the same for Men.
Is it? When was the last time the backup quarterback was getting all kinds of attention, or the 3rd American male in any event? I don't think looks are nearly as important for men in terms of endorsement deals. Skin color, in some cases, maybe (Meb vs. Hall).
I give LoLo a 7/10 on the interview.

backup QB? tebow. i assume sportscenter covered his every move again today.
Kournikova topped out at No. 8 in the world and won two majors in doubles with Martina Hingis. At least get your facts straight.

She was running away from EVERYBODY (including Dawn Harper) before she hit that hurdle in 2008.
Harper is EXTREMELY lucky to have a gold medal.

She's not a backup hurdler, is she? If you want to make the quarterback analogy, would you be surprised to see Tony Romo interviewed on ESPN, since he's just the fourth on last year's passer rating chart?
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
