No idea of the reasons why but compared with their facebook page it looks like they've lost about a third of their members between athletes and coaches in the past few months. It was Hastings' absence that drew my attention. That said it could be just a gremlin in whatever web host they use |

No GOLD medals means people get canned. The happened to the coaching staff and UCLA and Stanford recently. Expect the same firings at USATF LDR soon. |

Wonder how long the Mammoth Gremlins will take to discover this one & wipe it off! I think this one is Hastings in the LA Marathon. http://www.mammothtrackclub.com/photo/gallery This says a lot about Mammoth and the good words and attitudes of those now departed & how are treated once they announce they are leaving. No statement from Mammoth Track Club. No kind words for the future. Says a lot. Alistair Cragg has been erased totally. Angela Bizzarri ... same thing ... never existed as far as web site it concerned. Hmmmmm Those looking to go to Mammoth need to be prepared. |

Mammoth TC has to live amongst the L.A. T&F community which won 18 medals in London. I'm not suprised they had to let people go given MTC won zero medals last week in London. Stanford and UCLA fired a whole bunch of coaches recently. When Stanford fired Lannana way back he had to scurry and ended up at a rinky dink D3 in the middle of Ohio. That's life in the big city. |
