Easy. Oly trials win. Nobody performed in the spring marathons. Top American at Olympic games - looks like 5th or 6th right now. Anyone else would have to top-3 at Chicago or Berlin to take this title from MEB. EAT IT HATERS! SKETCHERS!! |

I'm honestly shocked that Meb finished 4th. I figured he could make somewhere close to that if he was healthy, but he was supposedly injured very recently, so I figured he'd be the first of the Americans to DNF rather than the only one that didn't. |

We all thought he was finished a few years ago after his horrendous marathon trials in 2007 and his subsequent injuries . So inspirational to all those who are battling chronic injury problems. |

Meb would never drop out. He finished the 2007 Trials with a fractured pelvis! This being Meb's last Olympics he would have finished with two broken legs if he had to. Congrats to Meb on a great race! He was back in 19th at one point and fought all the way back to 4th! Just shows how much heart he has. He never gives up. |
