He completely boxed out his own teammate. Lagat would've gotten bronze if he wasn't trapped.

Lagat was running outside of Rupp.
He was looking greating going into the final stretch until he got tripped up. Rupp didn't affect him at all.
that race was set up perfectly for lagat in every way. if lagat can't win that race he just can't win. great athlete but his time on the track is over.
Rupp wasn't smelling Lagat's taint on that last lap.
Couldn't have boxed him in.

Where do you idiots keep coming from? Lagat was fourth in the 5000m. Had he not been tripped by by Koech -- which may have been deliberate -- he likely would have medaled.
I'll look at the replay again, but I felt Lagat tripped on the back of Iguider's heels. Iguider was quite pissed off after the race. I think had Lagat went to the inside he could have won bronze but he was not in position for gold. Can't give Farah a head start.
Lagat went wide to go around Iguider, but wasn't clear of the Kenyan and got tripped up. I think it was his own fault.

Sometimes I have to wonder which race these LR posters are watching. This is probably the most stupid post yet.
There is no "team" in the olympics. Lets be honest everyone is out there to get a medal, not helping your teammate get one. Show some respect for someone who represented our country really well in the 10,000
