The race was playing RIGHT into her hands. Basically a 400-800 meter race, and she was positioned to kick with them and have a shot at gold.
It was heartbreaking to see her go down and see the shock and disbelief on her face. Poor, poor girl.

Time to focus on the 400 so she stays away from trouble.
She fell AGAIN? WTF is with this girl?
No way she way beating that Turkish junkie. 58.1 last lap ffs.
I feel SO badly for her. wrote:

no she wasnt. she was mid pack with 400 left, if she would've been near the front, out of trouble she wouldve had a much better shot.
Fool me once...
Never again. Way to blow it for America, Morgan.
I guess it's the evil side of me, but part of me thought, "welp, that's what you get for wearing that candy necklace and saying all those cocky things...big balls and such."
I'll probably grow horns here in a minute.
letsrun.com, where your dreams are crushed by assh0les.
She can't kick with those girls....get up cry baby
she was on the outside and tripped from behind. being "out in front" wouldn't have prevented the runner behind her from clipping her unless she was way out in front. dumb comment.
She is actually a really nice girl who has perhaps had a few misplaced comments in an interview but nobody deserves to go out like that (twice)
It is only athletics and not life and death but when you invest that kind of emotionalcomitment into something that is brutally tough to deal with..
She fell over her own feet.

No, her knee hit the spike of the Russian in front of her.
Bad traffic navigation on Uceny's part.

Thank you, somebody who isn't a huge douche. You realize how much commitment and effort she puts in to get to the Olympic Final? And to fall again after such heartbreak last year? No matter who's fault the fall was, nobody deserves this kind of hate and misfortune.

Then why did she just sit there slapping the ground instead of getting back up immediately and running? <1% chance of medaling at that point but there is nothing worse than "Whoaaa is me, life is so unfair, why me?!"

Get back to your pizza delivery job, loser.

It is the sick dooshbag in you; she's won hundreds of races in that necklace.
Why are you so effed up that her wearing a thing she has had since childhood would bother you? It is actually cool, she has some character.
Unlike you clearly.

As far as I can tell you're correct. I watched the slo-mo replay on BBC's channel and magnified the screen, focusing on Uceny's legs and those of the runners around her. Hit the pause button so I could see it sequence by sequence. Even had my wife come take a look. As far as we could tell she wasn't clipped or impeded in any way. Honestly, it looked like she simply tripped over herself.
But then again, it's possible I missed something.

I'm crying for her too. She had to go up against a field that was DOPED TO THE GILLS BRO!!!!! ALL THE WAY TO THE GILLS!!!!!
The video is up.

It's pretty damning evidence that it's entirely Uceny's fault. She kicks the Ethiopian runner, who is off to the left and behind, with her left foot. Uceny's left foot bounces of the Ethiopian's thigh, and into Uceny's own right calf, causing her to fall, and Uceny almost takes out the Kenyan and the Ethiopian runner.
Nobody clipped Uceny's heel or any of that nonsense. She literally kicked herself in the calf and fell down.
