Congrats to dirty Sanchez. The gong show continues. You don't fool anyone.
The GOAT
Impressive that the lease credentialed US guy did the best with a PB to get silver OVER Culsen and Dai Greene who gets bumped off the podium at home.
47.6 and he turns 35 at the end of the month!?
This is the first year that he has broken 48 since 2004 that has to raise at least some suspicion given that he's nearly 35

Haha! The GOAT?
Edwin Moses would like a word with you.
Where are these undetectable drugs coming from?
Dai Greene was fluke. Does well once, gets hyped to the heavens ... can think of a few others.

Few Kenyans maybe? Did you just watch that steeple? Whoops.
Seeing him weep like a baby on the Olympic stand - means so much to him. What a come back.

Speaking of him weeping. Who was on that photo he pulled out? And are they dead?
that was a photo of sanchez with his grandmother who past away during the semi-final rounds of the Beijing Olympics.....He said it was a very emotional moment and that is why he pinned the photo under his bib to feel "closer" to her...
Congrats to Felix, even without his neon wrist band. Does anyone remember that ?
He came out of nowhere to dominate the semis and the final. Where did that come from?
And Tinsley gets the silver? The race of his life. Just seems like the guys with the best credentials (Culson and Greene) didn't have their stuff this round.
He barely broke 52 yesterday at Stockholm.
Olympic champ to chump in 2 years... I know he's getting on a bit, but come on...
Felix Sanchez was born, raised, educated and trained in the USA. Like most Hispanics, his parents were from another country and like some Hispanic athletes, he chose to represent the country of his parents using his dual citizenship status. Although, Sanchez's parents are Dominican, Felix had never lived in the DR and from what I was told had only been to the DR once and barely spoke Spanish. He chose to represent the DR in the 1998 WC, because he knew he could not make the U.S. team at that time. Interestingly, Sanchez improved by almost 2 seconds after a year of training in the DR, which was major distribution center for PEDs. Sanchez is a legend in the DR and is wealthy by DR standards, but his wealth is small compared to what he could have earned as a U.S. athlete.
