Yes, you can dope for that. It matters how fast you can take those 41 steps. And doping also affects your stride lenght.

I was talking about Bolt, not Gatlin.

No evidence that HGH improves performance. It increases muscle size through water retention but does not increase strength, for instance.

The problem with your logic is that most intelligent folks don't think doping makes you superhuman. Rather, doping enhances the performances of people who already were great athletes.

Yes, Bolt would have an epic stride length regardless of doping. That doesn't mean the doping doesn't help him with training or recovery. I'd put him at a 9.80 or so clean, still a world class athlete obviously.

I don't have the link but we've all seen the video of Tyson Gay's feet looking like Sonic the hedgehog while Bolt loped along like an antelope to beat him soundly. Gay has/had one of the most insane turnover rates ever seen, yet he only managed to beat Bolt once, when Bolt was goofing off with his training. We saw it again with Yohan Blake in this 100m. Bolt was pulling away like a freight train from he and Gatlin. If a healthy and motivated Bolt is to be beaten, it will take someone with a stride length that's a closer match. The type of turnover that a short guy would have to put down simply doesn't exist right now. Can't wait for the 200m. Hopefully Bolt's speed endurance won't fail him.

Ben Johnson at his peak living today could challenge Bolt.

Does that answer my question as to whether or not it is an established fact that Bolt takes 41 steps and all his competitors 44 in the 100 meter race?
