Lot of people coming around to see things my way -- that Rupp is a tough, great athlete.
However, I've always said, this is the Olympics, just about everyone brings there "A" game, and it isn't that freaking easy... So don't expect much, just be happy if it happens. (He medals).
It has been an amazing 12 year journey, the highs and lows, and the progression to being relevant at this level.
The victory was won last year when he went under 26:50, he's now in the conversation seemingly on a regular basis world wide -- and that has been the goal all along with the Oregon Project....and of course once you are in the conversation if you can Medal, all the better.
I see this as another step in the progression, and as I mentioned months ago, I still see him as 1 if not 2 years behind Mo (unfortunately).
BUT, I am open to being surprised.
It is however, just really nice to see an American in the picture again.
Been a long time.
Can people please get their shit together (doubt it) and keep all 10k related posts in this thread.
We don't need a new thread for every little thing. YOUR OPINION DOESN'T DESERVE IT'S OWN THREAD. If you have something to say then post it in here.
I'm sure there will be 10+ threads anyway. It's so retarded.
I was watching the track events yesterday with this link to the BBC. No problems other than a few slight pauses during the women's 10000m. Brendan Foster commentating I think plus strangely good interviews after races.
1. Farah 27:21
2. Rupp 27:26
3. Ritz 27:30
4. Bekele 27:33
5. Teg 27:39

It's 1 hour to go here in Colorado and I've already had 2 beers... I'm bouncing off the walls for this race! I'm of course rooting for Rupp but I just want a great race regardless of who wins. This will be history in the making with a win from KB or Rupp or Mo!
I'm getting excited for this. I'm going to get a beer as well.
Look for me toasting the runners on the start.
They just said its pretty cold and windy! Good news for the Americans I would think.

65 degrees isn't cold son.
It looks like the Track only feed on NBC runs about 5 seconds ahead of the main feed, but has no commentary. Also, it probably won't cut away for field events.
I'd like to have the commentary, but would much rather not have cuts.
If you're on NBC, what are you using?
Might as well, you're unemployed aren't you??
Time for Bekele to show hes the GOAT!

The guy said to the audience "All of you played a part in her success!"
Well, that sounds familiar.
