I first felt pain at the top of my foot about four weeks ago. I thought maybe my shoelaces too tight but they were in fact loose. For the next two weeks( with no running)the pain was persistent but ranged from low to moderate to severe. The pain was often on top of foot but would go everywhere, somtimes feeling like my foot was sprained. I saw a podiatrist who said nothing broken and no stress fracture, but was overall little help. By the time I did see podiatrist the pain had lessened and I was optimistic. I began running and my foot would feel fine for six miles then hurt on the seventh. Some days I could run and others I could not. But no problem walking. Then, this week the pain became more intense - usually on top of foot but sometimes my big toe. Today, for the first time, the only pain was in my arch (for first time) and I am having trouble walking for first time since first week. I have not run since pain got worse a week ago. I have no idea what is wrong. Thanks for any advice or assitance!
