I am not trying to be mean, but something seemed odd about that race. Centro didn't look like he wanted a medal. Did that look really odd to anyone else?

Wow. Kiplagat, Chepseba, Willis huge huge HUGE dissapointments. With Kiprop injured I would have never thought none of those three would medal.
Hmmm, what if he isn't busted? Probably cycled off a few weeks ago and will come back clean, today. Just like several other, most likely.
Wow, who would have thought that no Kenyan or Ethiopian would end up on the podium? Wow! Way to go Leo and Matt!

Let the performance stand. If bad things happen, they will happen, but for now, let the fastest man have his victory.
2nd and 4th was pretty damn amazing. No need to ruin what they accomplished by reaching for more after the race.
This. The "doping evidence" against the Algerian is weak as shit. 3:35 is not out of this world last time I checked. Dude's a great 800 meter runner who moved up to the 1500 and is now rocking everyone's shit. Grow a sac, Americans, and quit whining about it. Nothing wrong with a silver medal.

he went from 1:46 to 1:43 and 3:32 to 3:30 in a year...there is no way he is clean.
The BBC commentators (including Cram?) had a funny discussion of Maklouhfi. He had to get a doctor's note explaining he was injured, and that's why he couldn't finished his 800 m heat, so it's funny to see him come out the next day and win the 1500. Now, that rule might be silly, but it's still funny what happened.
One of the commentators said something like that will only be part of the conversation about the surprising circumstances around this athlelte. We will see.

I agree, he cheated but screw it let him have the gold. Centro should have ran across the infield if he wanted it.

What race were you watching? He put himself in the mix right from the gun. If Leo didn't come tearing by him in the last 50, he probably would've been 3rd. Looked like he stumbled a little when Leo cut in.
Did anybody else catch that slow motion replay at the end with Manzano and Makhloufir running side by side? Looked like the two could be relatives.
Anyone have splits? I know they were 1:58 at 800.
I agree. Unless he was entirely exhausted, I could not understand why it did not look like he was totally gutting it out in the last 10metres.

He got a doctor's note saying he couldn't put out a fair effort in the 800 due to a migrane headache.

Both of these posters are on the money.
Come on, folks! We just got 2nd and 4th at the OLYMPICS! Why are we looking for more 10 minutes after the race? Let's appreciate this for a moment. Goodness gracious.

He's only run 3:30, but he is in 3:28 shape MINIMUM. The North Africans are notorious dopers, and this guy was a nobody who came out of nowhere. It's Ramzi 2.0

Good lord a whole two second personal best! You know Manzano went from 3:36 to 3:33 in one year. Webb went from like 1:47 to 1:43 in a year.
Centro improved huge from 2010 to 2011.
Any chance that someone protests Makhloufi's race itself? He pushed a number of people, especially when he split some people trying to get ahead. He never had a step, let alone a clear alley, yet he went through more than once. If that happens, he might lose the gold.
