not sure if serious..
I'm very serious. How easy do you think it is to come back from the equivalent of a ~3:50 mile in 2 days and be in full form? Unless you're on the juice, it ain't happening.
2nd heat was run way too fast. WTH were those guys thinking?? 3 f*cking 33 for a semifinal? Those guys will be done in the final unfortunately, including Centro, our best chance.
With the Kenyan going out so fast and another 2 or so going with him, what do expect 4-6 to do? They have no choice but to run that stupid fast pace along with him. At least 2 more guys were able to make it on time from that heat as a result.

Not arguing with you. Obviously they had no choice, but it was a suicide mission.
Of course the second heat was going to be fast to get the fastest loser spots. A sub 3:30 guy taking the pace that's why they ran 3:34
Great respect for Brennan: he falls pretty badly and still runs 3:39.
He did more with his talents than most. He has a tactical sense that is more than most. He has more guts, focus and purpose than most.
You would almost think that he got help from a coach more than most.
Run with the won says: Two smart Americans in the final and one idiot American out.
==================
Are you one of the idiots who said that Wheating needed to start running in lane one and at the front. Well, he listened to you and the other idiot LR posters in the quarterfinal. He went right to the front, then got steamrolled the final 600 meters. So, much for the "front running" strategy of the LR'ers. BTW, he has been injured, and has admitted that he is not in the best shape right now...does you pea brain tell you that might have had something to do with no making the finals of the Olympics?
Makhloufi is going to pull a Ramzi...it's too obvious that he's juiced to the gills.
So...he probably could win the gold and later stripped.
I saw him being escorted by a guy from the medical staff. (Like Maradona before his positive in USA 1994 WC's)
Iguider wasn't smart. He will be burned by the finals probably.
Kiplagat, Willis, Centro and Gebremedhin looked really good at tactics.
Kiprop only wanted to make the finals.
Tuesday night is going to be fantastic. I hope it starts off with a respectable pace. The fans from Austin, TX will especially be pulling for Leo Manzano to run the race of his life. He's worked years and spent endless hours to reach to this moment. Everyone on this boards should be pulling for both Manzano and Centrowitz as they have reached this rare moment. Anything can happen. Just hope for a clean and honest race.............
Kiprop looked bad when it was time to go at the end -- did not separate himself at all from the top 5, and looked to be working hard to close. I think Steve Cram said something about his hamstring being injured.
I don't think the Kenyans will hang around in the final.
That Ramzi wannabe is second favourite after Kiprop.
Centro 10/1 to medal.
I've never seen anyone run as smoothly as Centro. He may have had to pop a fast one there today, but it looked pretty damn easy. He has to at least get the bronze.
Official Poll: If Wheating didn't live and train in Oregon, and didn't go to Oregon would everyone on let's run still ride his tip?
Seriously, this guy is a joke...get off his nuts. He is the most over-hyped, under-performing distance runner in America. Plus, he is a terrible investment for my company Nike. We could use his money to buy a few more Kenyans, open a few more sweat shops and give Mark Bloc more VIP tixs!

...Agreed. It will be tough to medal, but he is even tougher. You never know. Got to be in the right spot to bring on the after burners. Go Matthew!
BUMP for the final tonight.
Awesome. I will be tuned in here, as it is my only option. Thanks in advance to all who provide updates!
I'm hoping the Kenyans don't turn this into a time trial. Slow race please.
Chepseba is lucky to have been advanced after stumbling in the first round.
He should just take the race out in 1:54 to help his teammates and sacrifice himself.
But I don't know if they learned anything from the 10,000 where the Kenyans failed to push the pace.
We may see something crazy with someone tripping and a 50 flat last lap.
It may be a wild ride.
The Kenyans have hinted at some teamwork. I think they'll go out hard. Slow 3rd lap then a crazy last 300m
