One of my favorite runners; what are his plans gooing forward? I think Colorado/Grad School/XC is off table? Will he be coached "professionally" by Wetmore/Nelson, stay with college coach, go to Nike-pro group? |

Cabral is a big wildcard right now. Before NCAAs/Trials his plans were to go to CU for business school and I think run cross country. So he's definitely leaving his old training grounds but where does he go now that the CU plans are gone? I don't think Wetmore would want to take the time to professionally coach someone who he's never coached before and went back on plans to go to CU. Personally I'd like to see him go to Schumacher's group. Jager and Cabral are the next generation of American steeplers. I'd hate to see Cabral go train with some other group of steeplers who are content to be the national class but can't contend internationally types. |

Don't automatically assume he will go train with steeplers. Cabral did very well training with a solid group of 15/5 guys (Callahan, Stilin et al) and pretty much working the steeple on his own. He may decide that he likes that format. When Cabral got to Princeton, they had pretty much no distance program and it grew around him. I am surprised everyone assumes he is done training with Dolan. You guys could be right but it seems like he has a good situation there. If there were one support group I'd like to have more than Nike, it would be Princeton alumni. I'm assuming he could tap into that if he stayed there to train. |

I am almost positive that Poore and Turner are training under chorney with Indiana Elite, Forys is just staying with Gibby, and Leslie is joining group with Gary at Furman. Havent heard Mahoney (junior?) |
