You actually typed out the words, "it was announced in June" and still hit reply? What's next for you, going to inform us who won the decathlon at the Olympic Trials? |

Are you for real? She is from New York, graduated from Saratoga Springs, in NY. If you are truly a fan of hers...She made this announcement via her twitter a month or so ago. |

How the F did she graduate from Saratoga Springs if she graduated from a school in CA? Shut the F up. |
| Nice job, Kid. YOU DID IT! |

Wow, an asst coach at a DI school. At Columbia too. IVY LEAGUE! Another great daughter produced by the Los Angeles track and field and cross country community. We're proud of you, Nicole. |
| what??? |

|
How does someone who has never coached at any level get a Div. 1 job as a coach? Are you kidding me? Nice that she was a HS phenom, how does that translate into COACH??? |

She's not actually coaching anyone, it's just a formality that allows her to train with the athletes. |

Looks like she was more than a high school phenom. Notice her bio of all the honors and titles that she won at Oregon. Also, she has been assisting Gagliano for some time, and is obviously very bright. So, to answer the question, she got a D-1 job because she is bright, a hard worker and has been there/done that. Congrats to Nicole and I'll just bet she'll be a great coach for years to come. |
| you people are IDIOTS! |

She graduated from high school in North Carolina you morons. And she grew up in Oregon, that why she almost attended school there, but at the last minute opted for the University of Texas. |

No, he didn't hit reply. You do know what the word "reply" means, don't you? The OP, by definition, is not replying. |

seems like running well translates into getting coaching jobs but not necessarily coaching well. |
| Or not |

|
She hasn't been assisting Gagliano. She was training under him for the last year and decided to move on after another year of struggles. |

Congrats Nichole! Columbia has a terrific program and is sure to benefit from having you on board. I guess you will be doing some training up in Van Cortlandt, your old stomping grounds. Never forget when you went 13:57 to shatter the HS course record! Hope to see more kick ass performances from you and Columbia. Best of luck! |

I remember when Nicole Blood returned home to her roots in Los Angeles and won the PAC-10 XC champs. That was so cool to see her win it in front of her home town crowd. |

______________________________________________________ Ha ha- I copy and pasted the response that said she graduated form Saratoga Springs. I should have drawn a line at the bottom- my mistake. But what I said is correct. My daughter was friends (through running) with her and I remember the day she ran in the Junior Women's race at VCP then left to catch a plane to Cali. |
