theyre not stupid. if theyre devoting their whole life to running, they don't have a wife and kids. that would be a major distraction from training and would ruin the whole concept of not having a job. |

That is just about the most ignorant post I have ever seen on Letsrun - and that is a big achievement! Have a look at Kenyan unemployment statistics in rural areas or come out to Kenya and look for a job yourself! |

the point is why not do something.ask for work.there is a new Kenyan runner out there that makes little running .Buys cell phones and dreams of great days but is all over Facebook asking USA runners for 200 or 100$. This is a fact.Many USA runners are getting hit up for something.So jobs are few. True but you cant run for ever .So if you cant make the bucks Kenyan runners try to cut that 2nd run out and look for a job.I know some Kenyan runners who say work takes away from there running.There not good enough to make a life off running.What are you going to do later.Do not stop helping Kenya .Just not some dude with a cell and runs all day.I wish i could do that. |
