They're professionals. They will be fine. It's not like they're going through the fire. It will give them something to throw over. The javelin isn't going to spend much time near the flame. It will be fine, to. This could lead to many interesting changes. Fire pits for the LJ/TJ - and steeple. Flaming bars for the HJ/PV. Make it really mean something when you "miss". Attendance at track meets would skyrocket world-wide. |

Not to worry, Danny Boyle says they'll have it all worked out, and with the help of 5,000 volunteers they'll have it moved onto a barge on the river within 3 weeks. |

I really wanted to see the single runner bringing in the torch. The Olympic torch all the way. Yes I was very annoyed with the flame. Actually I got so sick of the whole thing I didn't watch who brought in the flame. My Dad said seven people carried it in. I didn't even want to ask. My Dad is 80 and HE was pissed off with the whole thing. |

It will be moved off the field and put at somewhere else before competition starts. Did you guys actually think it would stay there? |

Maybe they should move the entire stadium to Paris, Brussels, Lisbon, Stockholm, Copenhagen, or Warsaw. |
