No other team in any event save the steeple dominates like this (keep in mind they ran an extra trial the same morning): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCgLLHcHWAE&feature=relmfu |

For some reason when I saw the thread title and before I clicked on the thread I thought it was going to be about a hot dog eating contest |

Ah, hot dogs, it is perhaps the greatest american sport. My cousin Hu Hee has taken me along many times. At first I was puzzled. Where to sit? Am I allowed to play, or only watch? How are the points awarded? And of course, why is this not in the Olympics? Then the condiments, this is a very technical part of the game and hard for foreigners to understand, believe me. But today I am almost the expert. Here is a great catch I made recently. My cousin tells me it was worth many points: http://mlblogstheballparkguide.files.wordpress.com/2012/05/harry-grove-stadium-food-hot-dogs.jpg?w=555 (The people you see in the background are some local entertainers, I do not fully understand them yet, but I see them at every hot dog game. Hu Hee says he thinks they are part of a government work program for people with addiction problems, but I do not know if this is correct) |

The 4x400 is OURS!!! USA USA USA!!! By the way, every high school track athlete in the US should watch this video for one reason above all others: To see how to properly run a break! My god that was a thing of beauty the 2nd leg ran! From out in lane 8 and she didn't hit lane 1 until she was starting to lean into the curve. Perfect! Shortest distance between two points is a straight line. I cringe a little bit every time I see a kid cut in from some outer lane to lane 1 by 15 meters after the break line. |
