True story:
When I got divorced after 20+years of marriage (ex wanted a very empty nest), I promised myself 3 things:
1) Run every day
2) Eat breakfast every day
3) Make my bed every day

I have and things got better.

I'm up and gone before the bed is empty so I can't make it in the morning. I make it at night before going to bed.

Nope, I've never seen a reason to. I'm gonna get back in it later that night and I'm not obsessive that my bed needs to look nice every day. Who cares?

I like to if I'm the last up. We both usually do in the morning, but not after weekend naps. We aren't too fussy about the corners and whatnot.

I think it's the proper way to start your day off right!

I make my bed every night just before I get into it. It take less than 10 seconds.

Yes. Sometimes I let it go until the PM, if I think I'm likely to take a nap that day; but usually I make it in the morning (and/or my wife does).

When you get into bed at night, the sheets feel nicer if they were smoothed out (i.e. the bed was made) earlier in the day.

And yes, even with a queen-size bed and extra pillows/stuffed animals/etc., it takes maybe 15sec. to do.

In the summer, what is there to make, exactly? There are no blankets. Maybe there's a sheet. That's not much to "make."

Well, that lump I currently call my "girlfriend" does not get out of bed before I leave for work. So, the bed isn't empty and I can't make it with her in it.

exactly. i dont have sheets year round. just that weird elastic mattress cover. if you get cold put on a shirt
