Well, it's probably hard to be encouraged after an ass whooping like that. But Bekele continues to improve and runs comfortably under 13. He's still a contender if he can sharpen up a little. |

Wasn't it 2003 World Champs 10k where they closed in like 12:57? Then again, Bekele looked a lot better then than he does now... but I'm still on board. |

On the other hand, six guys in the race today ran faster than Rupp or Farah ever have. Rupp, Farah and Bekele if he makes the OG team are not the favorites. |

Bekele will be chosen for both the 10k and 5k. Look at Haile in 2008...over the hump and a long shot for any medal but the ethiopian selectors still chose him. Here you have Bekele coming off a long period of injury and he's improving at a rapid pace...with a month to go until the Olympic 10k/5k....get real people...Bekele will be on the team in London. get it done Jos. |
