Rumor has it the exam is harder this year. In the past you could take the practice exams several times and get exposed to enough questions to pass. This year the practice exam seems to be very repetitive. Has anyone in fact taken it yet and is it harder than in the past? |

It was much more specific this year and only 10-15% of the test was from the practice tests. Good luck! |

Yes...harder. I was getting 100% on practice tests and in the past it took me about 10 minutes to take the "real" test and I also would get 100% on the test. This year it took me 45 minutes and I got 80%. |

Yes that is what I have done the past 6 years. Sounds like this year I am going to have to take more time this year and hope to get an 80 like you. |

Heard your required to provide a urine sample at the end of the test. NCAA is looking for drug positives from the following: 1. Red Bull 2. 5 Hour Energy 3. Monster Drinks |

I took it a week or so ago. Simply did what I always do. I printed out 5 of the practice tests, memorized the questions and answers on those tests. Many of the questions showed up fairly often and they did again on the test. Only 30 questions this year. I was in there for 5 minutes and got 100%. Not sure I have done that before but I always figure I won't miss more than a couple so I don't over think them. Didn't have any new legislation this time either. So I don't know what they are all talking about...didn't seem any tougher to me. If anything, easier. Good luck everyone! |

Yeah, there was a qquestion or two that I had not seen, so I actually had to read them. It really slowed me down. It took me 7:23. Kind of a disappointment. I'll actually have to do some training to improve my time next year. |

don't worry, this is the last year for a recruiting test. and it is the same as always with same types of questions. if you follow the rules to begin with, and know how to use an index, it takes less than a minute per question |

This was my first year taking the test. I took 8 to 10 practice test the week leading up to it. I finished the test in 8 minutes and scored a 96%. Every question but 1 on the test I saw on a practice test. |

Our school had a initial pass rate of 90% last year and an average time of 9:30. This year we ran an 75% initial pass rate and an average time of 58:30. It's not hard but definitely much more difficult than years past. |

Didn't seem any different than usual in terms of the difficulty of questions asked. I actually took the practice test fewer times this year, too. No new legislation questions. |

What are you guys talking about? The exam is the same as it has always been. Even if you didn't study or take the practice exams, it is an open book test and you get to use a cheat sheet with the new legislation. The tests are a joke with the same questions and answers word for word almost every year. The test should take you no longer than 10 to 15 minutes. |

I am in my 5th year as a Div I coach and it has been the same every single year. I scored a 98% in 8 minutes. I missed one question mostly b/c I knew I was going to pass, did not feel like looking it up in the book, and had stuff to do. Take the practice exam online 4 or 5 times and you are golden. |
