I have my doubts. Centro possibly if he is on.

Just thought of that thread topic on your own, eh?
Man, way to early to speculate.
Let the boys enjoy making the team for a few days.
Centro has a good chance. Keep in mind he is farther from 100% than most guys are at the trials. He has improved a lot since Pre and if he continues to gain fitness he could finish well at the games.
Centro and Wheating aren't near their peaks yet. Centro is a smart racer with pretty good finishing speed. Wheating's racing tactics aren't very good, but let's not forget this guy has run 3:30.

It wouldn't surprise me if all 3 made it, I just worry about Manzano and his tendency to drop a god awful race now and again.
I don't think Wheating is 100% either, but Wheathing and Centro are underraced this season, but no one is looking outstanding at this point. Medals don't look likely, but I would be very surprised if one of those guys don't make the finals.
None of us are psychic. We don't know.
Centro yes, he's race-smart.
Wheating hopefully, but we have to see whether he's in good shape and even then it's a toss-up.
Manzano I just have no faith in. Would love to see him make it, obviously, but I just can't even imagine it.
Let's be honest about Wheating. It does not matter how fast he is, his ungainly size and his horrible race tactics means that he will never do well in a major international championship race.

Yeah, because it is impossible that he could ever get faster or improve his tactics...

Manzo needs to read these boards, because despite what he did to day...you know beat a guy who had knee surgery two months ago ;-) --No one on this board has faith that Manzo can man up when it counts internationally.
Centro will but I see him a long shot to medal. Manzano can but who knows if he will. Doubtful about Wheating.
Wheating with the same final lap as Centro. Another 4 weeks til London, plenty of time to sharpen up. I like the look of this team
Like Kiprop?

Rupp's final 400 in the 5000 was almost a second faster than these guys. Wow.

Centro will be better at the games. Wheating, I think he just had that repeat moment of getting the monkey off his back with Robby Andrews a few years ago. Now that the real weight is lifted he can let the confidence flow and run more freely. I'd bet he's on another level at the olympics. Won't hurt that he'll be there with 2 of his old cross country teammates.
I say all three of them do. They ran races today that will get them into the final at the Olympics... 3:35-3:36 with 53 second last laps am I right.
They should all make the final at least. Wheating has run 3:30... Centro won bronze last year... Manzano has won Diamond Leagues and is the US Champion. I think Manzano could definitely medal and/or win.
Manzano will make the finals. He will have a great last lap in the finals but, unfortunately, starting his kick from 10-15 yards behind the world's best won't be enough at that level. Centro does a great job of positioning himself and could do well. Unless Manzano and Wheating learn to find themselves in better position over the last 600 meters, their medal chances are slim. This will not be like a Diamond League meet where runners may try to run for fast times. The win is all that matters and changes the dynamics of the race.
