http://www.dietsinreview.com/diet_column/06/lauren-fleshmen-stuns-crowds-and-self-in-the-5000-meter-olympic-trials/ "The injured Fleshmen pulled up from sixth place in the final laps and earned third place and a spot on the Olympic team with a time of 15:51:53. The crowd was going wild for their hometown girl. The girl who didn’t know if her body could get her to the finish line dug deep and showed just how strong she truly is." where are these people getting this from? |

Wow, even for an amateur website, that's a stunning amount of misinformation. |

I think it's a honest mistake. Hearing LF talk it seems she just qualified for the Olympics. |

How did you come across an aritlce on her in Diet in Review? What is an elliptical bike? |

To be honest, this is an understandable mistake. She watched the prelims and they said that Fleshman was the last automatic qualifier. To this novice who didn't understand prelims vs. finals she thought it meant she is going to London. |

Do you people really not have anything better to do than to look for honest mistakes people make in their blogs? I was going to revise the entry to reflect the fact that Lauren "only" qualified for the Olympic Trial finals but given how rude some of the people (who I presume are from this website) have been when they've notified me of my mistake, I think I'll leave it as it is - if it bothers them/you so much. But in the meantime, thanks for the extra traffic to my blog! -Lacy |

Lacy, you have a very interesting website. My wife really likes it. Glad this came to our attention..even in these weird circumstances. Huge Lauren Fleshman fan from CA. |

Lacy, The article sure doesn't look like a blog post. It's labelled as "Diet Column" on a non-blog website. You bill yourself as a "running expert," so don't complain if people call you on it when you make an elementary mistake about running. If you make such a careless mistake, and then compound it by not correcting it or apologizing, why should anyone trust anything else you have to say? |

Check "Lacy's" email address. Looks like someone just owned you. That was a really good troll btw, "Lacy." |

you could use some thicker skin. you didn't even spell the woman's name correctly. you should be embarrassed, and the fact that you are leaving it as is shows how little pride you take in your "work" i don't think anyone set out to look for mistakes in people's blogs. more likely someone was trying to find actual information about the race or Lauren Fleshman and instead came upon your blog, which is full of misinformation. |

LOL I noticed the email address and the way my brain processed it was "oh she put in a fake email address with "troll" as an attempt at insulting us. Now, of course, it seems so obvious. |

sorry get some, I've been posting on letsrun since 2001. My wife actually does like the site, even if that wasn't the webmaster. |

Interesting, pulled the story from the web without a correction. That is entirely unprofessional.
