If you had to pick either LeBron James or Ashton Eaton to play on your team in a sport that was neither's specialty, so not T&F and no Basketball (or Football for good measure), for which sports would you take each athletic specimen? Soccer: Eaton. He has better endurance although James might be able to play a mean sweeper (is that a real position or just something my high school coach said?) Baseball: James Hockey: James Gymnastics: Eaton Tennis: Eaton Golf: Eaton Wrestling: Freestyle Eaton Greco James |

If both of those guys have any skill, a tennis match between them would be one helluva competition. |

Why so sure on baseball? James's strike zone is massive, and you gotta think Eaton's getting around those bases pretty damn quick. Guess it comes down position. Same with hockey, James would be an easy hit at 6'8" and Eaton's probably quicker on skates as well. The REAL question is...is Eaton better at basketball than LeBron is at decathlon?? |

probably. he's the greatest athlete of all time. |

Specificity trumps size, almost every time. Eaton has practiced so many different specific movements, and gotten very efficient at all of them. LeBron has practiced many different specific movements as well, but centered around one game. I might give LeBron an edge in something where pure size really does make a huge difference, like wrestling, or certain specific positions in football, and probably powerlifting as well. Beyond that, I can't think of too many sports where he would out-perform Eaton. |

Lebron's bank deposit skills are a little better than Eatons. |

LeBron was the state player of the year in football in high school. If he were to declare for the NFL draft, he'd be a first round pick for sure even at his age. He's tall and strong, he can jump, and he can catch - he'd be unguardable as a receiver or tight end. Even if he's got a high center of gravity and isn't as elusive as most WRs he's got 50 pounds on a lot of NFL cornerbacks. I'd take Eaton in most free flowing field sports though for the combination of elite quickness and solid endurance. |

You have no clue what you're talking about, if any high schooler declared for the NFL draft they would go undrafted or very late at best. |

James isn't a high schooler. |
| Lebron could own Eaton |

Lebron's personal assistant, maid, butler, and driver probably all make more than Eaton. Eaton got a $750k bonus for setting a WR while Nike gave Lebron a $100million contract while he was still in high school. Who cares who the better athlete is, Lebron could literally own Eaton if he so wanted. End of discussion. |

Not only is Eaton better at basketball than LeBron is at decathlon, but with a few months of training he would be better at basketball than LeBron is at basketball. I mean, Eaton is a real athlete in a real sport, not some candy-@ss pot smoker in the NBA who gets by on size alone. |
| Thats a clown comment BRO |

^^ Yeah because Lebron smokes pot and runs over top of people / dunks on everyone 100% of the time. Not. I love track as much as the next guy on lets run but you sir have no idea what you are talking about. |

You can't own a person. Not literally. Also not what the question is... He didn't ask who's life is better. Although from listening to both of their interviews I would rather be Eaton. Makes enough to live comfortably, not nearly the pressure or attention from media, able to live his life without a bunch of sycophants sponges following him around. Seems smart, probably makes better eh..decisions. |
| Lebron could own Eaton |

|
That's where your wrong. Ths is America. If you have enough money you can own whatever you want to and Lebron has enough money to own Eaton if he wanted to. |
| LBJ |

LeBron plays nearly 48 min a game in the NBA, I'm sure he has pretty good endurance. I'd take LeBron is most sports over Eaton. And this isn't a baskeball superiority thing, Eaton would kill the next best guy in the NBA, but LeBron is a once in a generation freak. |

RG III is a much better bet to beat Lebron in any sport. |

You can only own a person who wants to be owned. He could have Eaton killed I guess or threaten his family, but you can't just buy a person. Lebron could only own me if he did some shady as shit. |
| Lebron could own Eaton |

|
You're confusing how it should be with how it really is, because it is not the want of the owned that matters but rather the want of the owner. Nobody wants to be owned, but in this great country if you have enough money you can do whatever you want to and own whatever and whoever you want to. I'm not saying that Lebron is at the top of the food chain just higher than Eaton. Guys like Bill Gates could own Lebron if he wanted to and Micky Arison does own him. |

Soccer: Eaton Baseball: Eaton Hockey: Eaton Gymnastics: Eaton Tennis: Eaton but don't know Golf: don't care Wrestling: Freestyle Eaton Greco James. He would have a huge size advantage Boxing: Tough one. I'd go with James but the later rounds go with Eaton Volleyball - indoor James outdoor Eaton Football - James MMA - James Beer Pong - James Table Tennis - don't know Diving - Eaton Swimming - Eaton Mud Run - Eaton |
