Things were going good until she left her coach who got her to the next level to move to Texas on promises of being even better.

Well, that didn't work. Why ego a-hole coaches always think they are better and make empty promises are just talking out of their a$$es and someone needs to be called on it.

How many grandchildren does Schmidt have?

But hey, she earned it. Beckwith and Wright ran as well as they could. It was a bad beat for those two. It happens.

I don't think Vessey likes competition. The talent is there but not the love of racing. She did the same thing under former coach Brock at the Worlds in 2009. It's the way she is wired. She needed more than coaching. She needed a sport psychologist. Someone to work on the way she thinks. When the guns goes off and you repeatedly drop to the back, you're sending a message. Especially when you stay in the back.

She'll be closing in on 34 the next time around. Probably will be out of he sport.

Rose Monday is a wonderful person and a wonderful coach. Brock is a good guy.

Vessey really needs/needed a sports shrink, and someone to tell her exactly how to run her races. She was possibly the most talented of the group, and just can never find consistency.

It's a pity.

Can anyone think of another runner so topsy turvy like this? Winning bigs meets, and then tanking big meets.

Why do you ask this? She is the most striking athlete on the track. She's also smart.
Does this bother you?

Met Alice at the Harry Jerome meet where she was beat by Jessica Smith. She was very gracious, and a very nice woman - also strikingly beautiful.

I think she looks pretty good in that photo. I agree. She is striking. Didn't she used to live in Michigan? Chelsea maybe?
