I just don't see it happening. Don't get me wrong, he has run a 26:48 which was the fourth best time last year, but I am still very skeptical. I don't think that time means as much as it should.
Kenny B and Farah are pretty much locks at medals.
Jeilan in the reigning world champ in the 10km, who outkicked Farah (not sure if running, though).
Merga is always a threat (has Galen ever beat him?), as is Kipkoech and Gerbremariam. And it seems some "unknown" east african comes out of nowhere every year.
I don't see Galen ever outkicking any of these men. Yes, he does have a chance at a medal, but IMO it's not a very good one. I guess this reasoning stems from Galen never being a factor on the world stage. I see him placing 4th at best. I just don't see how some of you are saying he will definitely medal, much less get silver or gold.
