I know it hurts, but everyone knows the course runs about half a mile short. At the very least. Lee Berube is an obvious 27-flat 8k guy.
I heard Berube took a poop break just past the 2 mile mark. the crowds went, ehh, wild!

CMU Invite today. Took down Dickinson on Men's side. Women's at Dickinson looking very vulnerable, maybe they are training through right now?
CMU's Wobb makes her debut but I'm sure will be ready to roll by Regionals.
Dickinson take down #10 Rochester and loose to #34 CMU.
Very nice inter region action coming up next weekend!

Al Carius's curse strikes again!
Why is no one making a bigger deal about CMS's stellar performance at pre nats? This is truly a noteworthy performance that should merit much more discussion than it has received. This team is destined to do big things and fulfill the prophecy....very exciting stuff.

you guys better be bringing your showering A game at Oshkosh...
Wow, someone is actually moderating this thread, apparently. I guess Berube pooping on the field isn't as offensive as random transfer rumors?
You must not know Lee...
Why were times so slow at Pre-Nationals? I know none of the teams were that good who went, but individually I'd still expect more than one guy under 25:30.
Was it hot or muddy? Is the course actually that hard? Never seemed that slow when D1 teams ran there in good conditions.

It had rained for 30 hours straight thursday night through Friday, as a lot of the course was under water, making things very slow in some areas, while other areas were just fine. CMS Men certainly impressed.

For reference, Robinson from Johns Hopkins (who finished 4th in 25:38) ran 24:58 the week prior at Paul Short. Assuming he ran equally (may or may not be true), that's ~40 seconds difference between the two.
More reference: Rob Gibson (Boston U.) ran 25:15 @ Paul Short, and 24:59 @ New England's, so also assuming he ran equally as well (which, again, may or may not be true), that's ~15 seconds difference between those two courses, and by extension NE's was ~55 seconds faster than Pre Nats.
These are super rough estimations obviously, and I did it mostly for myself, but if you take ~55 seconds off the top times you are looking more at the 24:45 range for the top pack. Makes sense with 4 ranked teams + an NAIA school that is about that level.
Who are the top 10 individuals as of right now?
Men:
Women:
Any clear favorites?
messiah college will win nationals in 3 years. They've got tremendous young talent. Watch out.
Noah Droddy, baby!
haha well played. i'm totally kidding about messiah, though i would love to see it happen
Tim Nelson places 35th at Adidas running 23:54. How much does he win nationals by?

A lot. That guy is a beast.
I seem to remember someone spouting off that Nelson couldn't crack UW's top seven.....
