Most people are fans of Leo. Brenda Martinez is super hot.

In answer to your question, German Fernandez is not black. Blacks are the only people that we really find annoying.

As the second poster said, he was a high school phenom. It has literally nothing to do with his ethnicity.

He was just off his PR by like .63, still for just getting back into shape, he is improving by leaps and bounds. Can't wait to see what he throws down later this summer...

Correct, there are more threads about Webb, Fernandez, and Hasay than any other runners. None of these runners have any chance of making the Olympic team. Why the fascination?

OTOH I have seen no threads on Schmidt, even though she has a legitimate chance in both 800 and 1500 - or on Montoya with the 2nd fastest time in the world. Why are these runners ignored?

He gained a lot of fans (and a lot of respect) when he led start to finish in the NCAA 1500 as a frosh.

2007: 14:24 at Woodward. Breaking record by 14 seconds.

2008: 4:00.29 and 8:34 at state meet.

All at 17-years old.

2009: 3:55.02 Wjr mile indoor record. NCAA 1500 champion 3:39.0 and then AJR 5K record 13:25.46
