I'm almost certain the guy with the grey shirt and baseball cap with his arms crossed is the throws coach at NC State. So they could easily be watching a throwing event on the infield. Otherwise from that spot you couldn't tell how close the race is from behind so looking at a jumbo tron is a good idea there. Is the runner on the far left with State on his chest NC State? This may give more weight to the jumbo tron theory vs a throwing event if so. |
