Times for girls especially matter not much at that age. Often (not most of the time, but often) 13 year old GIRLS will get slower as they get older and mature. This does not happen to boys. Boys get better as they age though the teenage years.
I know a girl who will be a junior in high school in the fall, and she is not any faster than she was in 6th grade -- she was a super star then; now she's just better than average.
How you do depends on your training, your healthy eating, how your body reacts to getting older through your teenage years, and your interest.
Is 5 minutes 59 seconds good for 1500 meters for a 13-year-old? Not setting the world on fire (go search for Junior Olympic 1500 meter results for your age), but it's not horrible. Even if you ran 4:59 though, I'd tell you the same thing about your potential...just wait and see.
yeah, that's very good. you'll be in the top 5 runners at most track meets. keep up the good work.
