What's fast? Fast enough to win some races? Yes, if you have talent and the ones you run against don't. Fast compared to what you have potential to do if you had a solid base? No. |

George walked a lot and raced frequently, making a good living. He was capable of something close to 51 minutes for 10 miles, wasn't he? Most people would consider that a decent base. Rarely a pacemaker and on a cinder track, 4:12 not so bad. |
