That kid is one hell of a coach. I heard Webb is thinking about the switch in the lead up to the trials. I think it would be a good move. |

Ryan has decided to move to NC to train with Chris and be an assistant coach at Regan HS. Ryan thinks this will help him make one last run at the Olympics. Remember this is one of the most talented kids in high school history. |

Deak was running 90-100 miles per week in high school. Yes, it takes "talent" to sustain that kind of mileage, but he didn't do jack afterward. I would not put him in the upper echelon of prep talents. What was his 3200 PR anyway? |
| hahaha no way |

is this based off of facebook? |

Confirmed by Catton on twitter. Deak is a special runner. Very thin and light on his feet, he almost floats. Catton has worked magic with a lot of high school kids. How will he handle Deak? |

Who the hell is Chris Catton? It is my impression that he piggybacks off any decent NC high school runner and pretends that he is their coach. Enough with the HORSEPLAY! |

4:03 kid this weekend. Have you coached one? You mad bro? The Deak thing clearly looks like a joke from Facebook |

If Ryan is back into coaching he'll ruin it there the way he did every shot in VA |

he ran 15:11 FTW at great American XC race of champions with the fastest time on the day beating Solinsky, Bret Gotcher, and a faster time than bobby curtis. Oh yeah, he was a sophmore |

If he was running 90-100 mpw his sr year at SHHS, then he was doing it against his coaches wishes. Though his coach that year was and is a greta coach. just putting it out there. |

If my memory serves me correctly, i think he trained under his dad or something and changed schools at one point so he could do what he wanted running wise. Unless i'm thinking of someone else. |

I wouldn't be surprised if Deak wants to get back into it. He's probably watching track meets and picking out the guys who he beat back in the day, wondering why he's not still out there beating them. How long has he been out though? It'll take at least that long to come back. |

We all know Ryan has ability and Catton can coach. The question is will he listen to Cattons training? |

Brent Vaughn ran half the mileage as Deak and "smoked" his records at SHHS. A local paper chronicled Deak's training. He was putting in the miles, much of it at a good pace I'm sure. 8:51 for two miles is solid, but Deak seemed to flame out as most elite preps running that kind of mileage do. |

Like Ryan Hall did? like Solinsky did? like Chris Derrick did?

*MOST being the operative word. Derrick didn't run 90-100. |
