yeah. he looked really good in that race. i'm confounded by the fact that he didn't just stride away to the lock win. anyway. i'm willing to say he's a contender for the win. i think he'll run exactly the way he did when he won this race a couple years ago and just like he controlled the race today.

It looked like he was all out at the end and just hoping not to get passed.

He apparently took a redshirt year.

I agree he looked much better today, not quite his old self but getting there.

Just over a month ago we did not if he would run this season. He just ran his second fastet 1500m. He gets in shape fast. No matter what happens in two days his come back is sure fun to watch. I just home he can get under 3:39 in the final. He'll then be running at the Olympic trials. Not bad for a runner that was injured two months ago.

The women's prelims were quite fast and close. I wonder if that's the fastest they've ever been. The final should be interesting.

oldoldrunner !! Good for you, you have it right, all the folks that say, well he ran faster as a frosh, just do not get it

he has not run a race near this fast now in 3 years

I thought he looked great for a guy that not many really thought was a miler to begin with, even though he ran that absurd 3:55.0. Indoors

He looked good, the talent is unmistakable.

He ran 3:40.19 carving all the fractions essentially himself and fades a bit, so what?

This is a fgood indication that with some added mileage and uninterrupted training, he can be that good, yet again.

the talent is not gone but man how I wish he trained uninterrupted the last 4 years. we would see 3:33 and 13:00 methinks

Good to see him having some success again. I would be pleasantly surprised if he challenged for the win in the finals but just getting there is definitely a step in the right direction.

Best of luck to German.
