Poor wording on my part the idea I wanted to convey was had he not had a major foot injury we would not have been surprised by a 3:36 this year. He would have been a consistant 3:37/38 guy entering this outdoor season and a 3:34 would nave been the suprise race not a 3:35.6 one
I can confirm, that as posted above, he was ill and his MD prescribed he undergo a course of antibiotics treatment that only ended a few days ago.
I spoke with him electronicly this AM -he offered no excuses said his race sucked and is looking forward to more racing this year. |
