I think it is a dig at trolls. Doesn't mention letsrun.
I hate whoever wrote that article.
What is ossum about yer poast is that it is itself an unfownded rumer. That storie takes no shawts at Lets Us Run.
That is a fantastic post. It is hilarious and so spot-on.
c'mon guys
let's start a rumor
let's.
let's.
Who wants to start the thread that Runners World in bankrupt?
Sounds like we pissed off the Hobby Joggers!
We should challenge them to a 10xMile relay and put them in their place.
They are still angry at the Interwebz for taking all their magazine subscribers. Newspapers, Magazines, why would anyone even bother? Who even needs a TV anymore.
lold real hard at this...
...so hard I had enough tears to fill up my fuel belts.
The rumor cited did appear on here. It was fortunately taken down, but I do remember seeing it.

Mark Remy has been doing a pretty funny series of "Motivational Posters." Here is a recent example:
http://rwdaily.runnersworld.com/files/2012/05/poster21.jpgThe troll who started the thread deserves some props.
The title was believable enough that enough of you clicked on it to make it "Super Hot" on letsrun.
Then it was still believable enough that someone at Runnersworld or one of their friends posted it on facebook believing it.
Excellent.
Almost as good as when in 2002 Track and Field News printed in their magazine: "Ivy League officials are considering withdrawing their schools from NCAA Div. 1 competition and moving to Div. III reports the New York Times"
The problem was the NYTimes never reported that. Some troll posted it on letsrun:

Maybe we should do an interview with the Ryan Hall troll. If you're the troll and want to do an interview email me. We can keep you anonymous. I don't want to encourage trolling but the best in every field often should be acknowledged.
The really sad thing is that the same types of rumors fly all over the halls of Rodale in their binal non-discript
office buildings in that dump of a town they call Emmaus,PA.
"...oh did you see that hot intern on the first floor in the Men's Health Dept? I hear she's easy...we did it in one of the lounges the other night..."
"...hey, are you guys going to go for a long ride/run at lunch?" meaning these guys who pretend they work for a living, take 2 hour lunches and then return to their cubes to write about the kind of athletic careers they never had (with the exception of Amby)
For RW to poke at other forums for being rumor mills is beyond hypocritical.
Mark Remy strikes me as the kind of guy who just started running and wants to constantly talk about it but has no clue what he's saying.
I just got an email I think from the guy who posted on facebook.
CCd is the Mark Remy guy.
He's perplexed by the "Super Hot" thing.
We used to have a little thing underneath the Super Hot that said, "auto-generated". However, the LRC regulars know this, so we took it down.
I think it's a funny and spot-on post about how gullible people about things they see on the internet. It's just like Snopes.com and all of the bogus emails that get passed around.
I don't take it as a knock at LRC.
I've had a great time trolling the runner's world forums before. I'm sure people don't need help finding this but here's a link anyway.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
