I dont get it, if you are known to be a strong runner and dont have leg speed like some of the kickers, why would you go out at a leg speed pace that you can't handle for the entirety of the race? Stronger runners seem to fair better if they sit behind other as a decent pace and between half way to 3/4 into the race start using their strength to move up. I noitced someone say that haile is going to push the pace at Hangelo from the front. I think that would be dumb for him. It seems way too many people would be able to hang on to the pace he would set... |

There are more people with a faster sprinting speed than Geb than there are with a faster 10k time. So the faster the race, the less number of faster sprinters at the end. Regarding you saying that Haile should follow at a decent pace instead of leading..... Is there a rabbit? If not, then who is he supposed to follow that will be going at a decent pace? |

Can't kick if you don't have any legs. Think about it for a minute. |

In general the strength of your kick will be inversely proportional to how fast you run the rest of the race. The slower the pace throughout the race the more somebody with a fast kick will be a factor. Burn it out of them or get far enough away and the kick won't matter as much. |

I don't see why you can't kick if you're a strength based guy. Just start the kick as early as possible. I've seen too many clips of people trying to lead from the start and fading. |
