http://ids-sports.com/ncaalivestream/playerHighRes.html Who is this fellow commentating? All he does, for every race, is repeat over and over the last names of the three or four leading runners, with no effort to make it more interesting or even string together sentences. Perhaps worse is the way he talks, which sounds somewhere between nervousness and intoxication... |

You sure you are not watching the West Feed? We seem to have the same guy. I can understand that these announcers can't possibly know all these athletes...but they seem incompetent at track announcing... |

Worst I have ever heard. I rather that guy who does the ESPN announcing: "Go down to your local track and try to run a sub 60 second quarter". |
| good god |

It's so bad that it's actually hilarious. Literally all he's doing is calling out names every 30 seconds or so. I hope he's not getting paid for this. |

my audio was so low I could not make out much he said. The drama is for 5th.The drama of who is moving on should trump the winners hug, keeping the camera on 2 or 3 guys 10 yds ahead misses the point. Lots of editorial and directorial improvment needed but at least it seems the NCAA is on the correct path with free streaming video and a managable 4 or so hour block of running over 3 days. Plus of you are a Field lover the events during the day are easy to follow with out the pesky clutter if races. Did they ever finalize the mens 1500-? |
| Are you kidding me? |

I thought it was pretty good. However, I only have a 15 second memory and need to be constantly reminded who is the top 3. |
| this guy sucks |

This would make an incredible drinking game. Every time he says a name do a shot. |

Go to the meet and commentate on it yourself. It's a free webcast, stfu |

I was there the last two days...and yeah, this guy is the worst. Maybe, just maybe he could set up the heats, mention the better runners, their times, etc. Today I have also been watching the Missouri State High School champs on the web, which is also free and infinitely better video quality and has 'play by play' and color commentary...fantastic. |
| hmmmmm..... |

I'm sure the NCAA would allow play by play and color commentary over the mic..... |

I had the same impression. Actually, there were two guys announcing; one that was mentioned with the strange inflection, the other invariably got the winning team/runner wrong. In the 4x400 Mississippi State had the lead from the second man, but the announcer kept saying it was Virginia. And the winner is Virginia; then when the official results were posted, he had to acknowledge that is was Miss. State. |
