just pushed right off the track. brutal!
He was DQ'ed; what happened, did he tangle with Connor, who came in 6 seconds back?
It was hard to see what happened from the jumpy feed. Anyone there in person who can describe what happened?

Perhaps you'll all ring in here...my feeling is that GF's only shot for a win at the NC's is to wind it up from 5-600m out. Letting it go to a pure 150m race will not produce an optimal result. Great to see him rounding into form, however.

I would agree with that, though he may not be in condition yet to win it all.
Here's a pic of the Protest form from Wisconsin.

It looked like there was incidental contact, then he lost his balance, started tumbling (presumably in front of the Wisconsin kid) and fell to the inside of the track.

Connor led through 1160, but not at a fast enough pace that would qualify seven from the heat, rather than five, which was crazy given that this was the 2nd heat. A freight train of guys started to pass him at that point, and they were not all that subtle about it. Connor got tripped up, didn't go down, but basically had to stop. Masters was also stumbling long after the contact and well off the pace, but was directly ahead of Connor. Connor, to his credit, did a full two-handed push to the back of Masters, throwing him into the infield. He at least got some small satisfaction out of the race.
Earlier, Botezan was the one who was DQ'd. It's interesting that they changed it to Masters. Not that it matters.
The other 1500 heat was a Rules of Order. Finnerty took it out and Lalang then took the lead. There was no bumping or hard racing, and several guys who have no business being in Des Moines will be there. It's a funny sport.
Ah, math. 1060, it was leading to the bell.
where did you get the heat by heat results? When I click on the link on texassports.com I only get cumulative results.

In addition to their extremely high quality video streaming, Texas decided to use Low-Tek meet manager rather than bring in the pros from Flash. Splits from all races are available from the East, by the way.
Texas can do better than this. The streaming video was horrible (down half the time). The announcer was boring and amateuristic (not the way to interest new audiences to our sport). How many fans were in the stands? A couple thousand at best. I understand that Eugene doesn't want this meet every year, but someone else better step up to the plate.

It was better than when Austin hosted two years ago. Maybe 200 people were there (seemed like it).
hahaha, bad blood between Wisconsin and Oklahoma (dates back to XC Last year!!!)

The heat results were showing earlier, so they must have removed them.
