D2 OUTDOOR TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS

Why is the championships at altitude? So that the schools that are already so much better be guaranteed they continue to win?

There arent many options for where the championships are held when no other school puts in a bid for them. the altitude is 4500ft . Lower than the USA indoor championships in ABQ

Why was track and field not included with the d2 festival in Louisville? I know the festival was last week but things could have easily been adjusted so that track and field was inlcuded and not held at altitude.

I don't care if 4500 feet is 'low' for altitude terms. A 10k at 4500 ft. is going to blow. What, 45-50 second conversion? Booooooooooooo.

Anyway, I think Chavez is somehow coming in underrated this year for the 10k.

I'm taking Emerick though in the 10k with the altitude.

Did Pennel use the 5k at RMAC as a workout or is there a reason he DNF'd? I imagine he's in great shape right now and just ducked out early.

Haebe will win the Steeple in fashion.

I like Micah Chelimo in the 5000 but really who knows, as there will be people doubling and tired from other prelims.

Omot Aduo in the 800.

Chavez was featured on flotrack as the future of D2. Not sure I'd call him underrated. Heck of a runner no doubt though.

IFFF Pennel is healthy he wins the 10k easy. Can't flat out run him and Emerick and Chavez shouldn't be able to out-kick him. I expect Bond and Proctor to fight in that top five as well.

Haebe wins steeple. Karbo second.

Graham wins 1500 easily followed by a bunch of teammates and mines guys.

Berrian in 800 unless Graham digs DEEP.

Not sure about 5k. If Pennel is in the same form he was when he ran that 10k it's hard to go against him. Haebe and Karbo will have some serious kicks. Batt might be the favorite if he runs fresh.
