Good to see the arrogant Germans choke. Schweinsteiger is a GOAT, and not in the good way. |
| Cynical. |

Were by far the worst team, but well done nevertheless. |

Drogba was clutch today. BM controlled the game, but Drogba was in the right place at the right time on that corner. Plus, Robben & Schweinsteiger choked!! |

It was it bit tough, 'cause Chelsea really did very little in the game for a long time. Unbelievable making a goal in 88th minute after everybody though Bayern had won the match. but let's not forget who beat Barca in this CL-season, so in some way they deserve something out of it and they have some great players like Drogba, Czech, Cole and Lampard. |

Football lost today. Very sad! |

I watched Chelsea in their final 3 Champion League games (semis v Barca and todays finale). To say they "deserved" to win the CL is absurd. 3 games of doing nothing but playing defense and creating 1 or 2 quality chances a game and winning does say a lot about the quality of the team, however. It's hard to defend with 10 men behind the ball for 90 minutes and get results. They did this and I commend them for it. They were missing a ton of their regular starters today, too. Although it is not an attractive style of football, it does work. Greece won Euro 04 (I think) and the Italian National Team has been successful with it for years. |

I hate it when, particularly foreign, Scum U supporters pretend they know anything about football. You support them because they win every week, and then you cry your eyes out when they win nothing. Another season like that and you'll be on the city bandwagon, they're popping up all over the place already. |

I support two teams- Manchester United and Barcelona. The latter because I am an Argentinean fan (a country that plays wonderful football just like Barca not to mention that the world's best player plays for Barca and so does Mascherano). As for football losing, I wish Bayern had won. Chelsea, just like Real Madrid are anti football. Winning is all that matters. How they do it (putting nine men at the goal mouth and hoping for counter attacks) is immaterial. Also, these teams, as well as Man City splash money to buy trophies. They don't develop anything (young talent) like Arsenal, Man United and Barca. Football loat today and mediocrity was rewarded. Let's hear your thoughts sir. |

I gotta agree with you on this...to many plastic fans out there. If i ever meet i make sure to call them out no a days, they probably never heard of city back when they were playing in 2nd tier not too long ago. As for the game, i was had clashing feelings on chelsea's victory, on the one hand they are the first london club to lift the cup, we had our chance in 07, on the other hand this screws tott spuds to europa league. Chelsea played very effectivlly and got a bit lucky munich didn't have finishers in their forward position (gomez bottled it up today). Bertrand playing in front of cashly cole was a smart move as it negated the robben/lahm partnership. Inter played this way and won, its sad to see as a random soccer watcher but as a soccer enthusiast they performed brilliantly in their roles to deny many more chances. |

Football is also about tactics and about fight. Not about possession. Chelsea won on heart and guts. If Barca had any of those they would have been in the final but they played like a bunch of overentitled diving pussies and this year the referees didn't hand it to them. Bayern have always been a bunch of arrogant twits. I didn't root FOR Chelsea as much as AGAINST Bayern today. If you can't convert big chances like that in your home stadium you deserve to lose. Can't wait to hear Beckenbauer's whining. |

Possibly the worst team ever to win the Champions League? Crying shame that a team like Chelsea can now claim to have some kind of 'history' |

They were not exactly 'Made in Chelsea' Lets see how England do in the Europeans and inparticular the Chelsea players in that team |

Sour grapes. Presumably you think Barcelona should have won this year’s European Cup. A team that had no plan B when banging their heads against Chelsea’s 10 man defence was clearly not working. In a similar situation, Mancini brought on Dzeko to head the ball home against a similar QPR 10 man defence on the way to Man City winning the Premier League title. Barcelona, the best team in the world, had no similar option it seems. I’m not a Chelsea supporter, but any team, (missing many of its stars through suspension) that can go to the home ground of the other finalist and hold them to a draw in full time - and then go on to beat the Germans of all people in a penalty shoot-out - must be something special. |
