AJ is sponsored by Burma Shave. Look for a BIIIIIIGGGG promotional stunt right before the trails.
Webb should be forwarding whatever money he gets from Nike to A.J.
Lot's of former ducks in the mix tonight...Rupp 3:34, MacNamara 3:36, Acosta 3:36
There is no reason why Acosta can't be a solid 3:33 runner someday.
Douche
Word on the pro scene is AJ turned down significant money (50 k a year) from Nike cause he felt he deserved more.

U serious or j/k?
no way he would turn that down unless he's a tard.
1500m runners aren't worth that much. Even Centro and Lagat aren't paid huge sums over that and they are way ahead of AJ.

And look where he is now two years later. Still without a contract and $100k below where he'd be if he'd accepted Nike's generous offer. Has this guy done anything exceptionally noteworthy in his entire career? No. Hitting 3:36, 3:51, being top 3 at NCAAs, etc are all good performances, but it's unlikely Acosta will ever even make it to the OC/WC. There isn't much money for guys like that, even if they do mature into 3:33 PR types. I would have taken the money and ran, literally!

He should of took the money and been extremely grateful. Any runner who has never run an Olympic A standard, and gets money from a company is lucky.

You should of took more English classes and been extremely grateful for the opportunity to learn how not to sound like a moron.

I was rooting for the guy this morning when I saw he ran 3:36 but if he turned down 50k I am less excited. What was going on in his mind where a company offered him 50k just to run? Did he ever win an NCAA individual race? Who the hell does he think he is?
Maybe his degree will get him more than that right out of the gate but most college grads I know start off well below that right out of college unless they are in high demand well-paid fields like engineering. I hate this guy now more than ever.

My friend, you could not be further from the truth.
Who wants a guy to represent their company with an attitude like this
He turned down 15k from Nike.
When you make the final and get tossed around,I'm
sure you'll be frustrated.
Tell me why there's a thread about this huge douchebag

Maybe just he didn't want to be a part of Nike. Maybe they only offered him 5 grand. You don't know. You are just an idiot who forms ridiculously strong opinions based on anonymous pieces of BS from the internet. Son, what in the hell is wrong with you?
