Rupp is good. I have great respect for his accomplishments. But for toughest racer, I'll take Centro and Lagat over any other Americans (800 - Marathon). |

How do you compare racing toughness between a 1500 runner and a 10,000 runner? Rupp has to hang close to 7 Africans for 10 laps at 64 second pace before you come close to a finshing kick in the second half of a 10,000. Centrowitz is fearless and keeps good position for 3 laps and follows the big move after 800 at 59 pace. Apples and Oranges. Rupp is every bit as tough. |
