Stuff crashes your kidneys and liver. Run 1 second faster to die 10 years earlier. Tell yourself its worth it. |

"Creatine is LIKELY SAFE for most people when used at recommended doses. ... When taken by mouth in high doses, creatine is POSSIBLY UNSAFE. There is some concern that it could harm the kidney, liver, or heart function. However, a connection between high doses and these negative effects has not been proven." http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/natural/873.html This article also lists the safety concerns. |

How about someone what has watched its effect on athletes, starting with muscle spasms and kidney problems at age 18. |
| Say ahhhhh!!! |

I don't think it helps endurance athletes does it? Thought it was more for wrestlers and American football players |

The intent of peer reviewed paper is to sell drugs, not to prove or even mention the safety of them except to say that they're all A-okay. |
| so true so true |

Yeah, all those peer-reviewed papers Einstein wrote...he was just trying to sell drugs. |

And with that, I think you've just excused yourself from any rational, adult conversation about science or medicine. |

Yes, because each journal has a specific set-schedule that rotates each year. I didn't know peer reviewed papers about undulating periodization vs linear periodization were also about selling drugs as well. |

THIS. I watched one of my good friends, a D1 Football Player, balloon from 170 to 195 over the course of one summer. He just looked fat, but...man...he got really strong...was doing a ton of lifting and sprinting. Two years later, he stopped talking the stuff and was done with football and shrunk to 160 lbs - he started running with me. We were walking downtown one day and this girl, who had briefly met him two years previously did not believe me when I told her who he was. She also didn't find him as cute as before...which again proves that chicks don't like waif-like men. Sorry...this was just a little story....don't take creatine. |

Nonsense... I would not take creatine because it would not help with my goals. Now if I were in a sport that required power (football or a track sprinter) then I would take it to improve my weight training--the key is not just taking the creatine, but doing the proper training to take advantage of it. |

The cells of the kidneys and liver regenerate. Just stop using, and back to normal. Refer to alcoholics and drug addicts, like old rockers Stephen Tyler and Mick Jagger. They did much more damage than some high school or college kid spending a few bucks at the GNC, and they are still kicking. |

I was thinking the same thing. It sounded like an argument FOR taking creatine. |
