http://livingtherun.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/hasay.jpg http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/photos/uncategorized/2008/07/04/jordan_hasay.jpg I do a descent amount of core. Everyday I do 100 crunches, bicycles, leg lifts, planks, leg flutters. My abs are ok but I have to flex for them to really become visible. I am extremely skinny so i was thinking that I simply don't have enough muscle to have abs like that...? Someone find her core workout and give it to me!!!! |

I believe you're checking out the wrong Oregon resident... Lauren Fleshman's abs: http://www.zimbio.com/pictures/Z075PqCU1DO/2010+USA+Outdoor+Track+Field+Championships/W5IoEeeZXM_/Lauren+Fleshman Yeah, they're doing some good core work, for sure. |

crunches are the biggest waste of time in all of exercise. I don't have much to offer for advice, but stop wasting time on crunches. |

Yeah, I find it a bit particular that with all of the female runners out there the OP picked Hasay as the model for good abs. Don't get me wrong, they are more ripped and toned than 99.9% of the population, but on the scale of fast female runners, her abs are well in the bottom 50%. |

Op Get rid of some body fat. Even if you think you're skinny. |

opps, I meant "peculiar" not "particular" |

Correct. You will never have abs with a layer of body fat on top. Only then does the result of that core work become visible. |

Either you're not running enough or eating too much. If you run quite a bit (50+ mpw), you just get ripped body. It just comes naturally. |

i am a 5'9 /110 pound male so losing any more weight would be pretty unhealthy. |

How do I get (a piece of) her buns? |

PS..I'm also 17 and run 60 MPW so i don't think fat is the issue To be clear..I have pretty good abs but I have to flex to make them really noticeable. I see a lot of teammates who have more defined abs even when they are not flexing. Jordan Hasay in particular looks completely ripped even when she is not flexing |

at 5'9"/110lbs you need some serious gym time if you want abs learn the compound lifts (squat, dead, press, row, clean) you'll get abs |

I love Jordan and think she's quite cute. But isn't there something a little off with the way she looks? I just can't put my finger on it. Can anyone else? |

Try some side planks. I also agree with the weight lifting. In addition to those do farmers walks, one dumbbell in each hand at hip level. |

OP: are you a girl? and just because you are 17 and run 60 mpw doesnt mean you dont have fat. Ha! Thats how I thought when I was 17. You Probably eat like crap and think core is just your stomach... |

You can get strong abs by doing regular abdominal excercises, but developed looking abs is a genetic thing. Same thing with calves. |
